Another Day, Another Rabbithole | (DoJ's?) remote hacking caught
As I was pondering the traffic to my author blog, I noticed a whole lot of hits from Chicago. Normally, I get more hits from Boston and Michigan than Chicago, so color my interest stoked.
But then I noticed they were looking at my posts multiple times; it's odd behavior. So I decided to do a IP location search. And here's were we get all rabbithole and creepy.
The first IP address goes to a location on Cermak Rd. It's a business called "Child Link" and they "specialize" in child psychology. And according to the one review on Yelp, they super suck.
Horrible psychologists located in a building right next to the water (WATCH THE WATER)?? I can admit, it made me wonder if they were on contract and trying to profile me (hello FISA abuse) because my MKU Factory radar started beeping... but decided to look at the other GPS coordinates because why not?
The next set went to a convention rental place. Ooh, spacious!
It's also next to a federal building.
And here is where this journey gets all WHAT THE FUCKy real fast:
I went to copy the third set of coordinates and there was a little extra message attached to it, which shortly disappeared.
It said after the coordinates, "0 SECONDS ARE YOU AS TECH SAVVY AS YOU THINK YOU ARE?"
The GPS coordinates go to outside another federal office building housing the DoJ and Senator Richard Durbin's offices.
Oh, and it's just down the road from the Federal Reserve (kid friendly money displays!) and across the road from a coffee shop called "Intelligentsia".
It's also literally down the block from GPS coordinates #2.
So, if someone with more tech savvy than I (which isn't hard to accomplish, tbh) can explain to me how this message appeared when I highlighted the third set of GPS coordinates and then disappeared a moment later... I'd very much appreciate it.
Wanna read more of my stuff outside Steemit?
This is a book /log of me of how I got targeted for doing research and discussing things I found in the public domain in an open forum.
This is a novel (spitefic of FSoG) I wrote that worked in a bunch of contemporary political scandals ... and resulted in my therapist at the time telling me I might be offered a payout and maybe asked to join "The Beast". (And yes, I recorded that conversation because WTF)
