Hello wonderful Steemians . Happy new month. I'll finally let you into what I've been keeping in my mind for many years. How did our forefathers survived without technology?

Yes, I've been wondering for years how they survived without all these inventions we are enjoying now?

The scope of this post will be based on happenings in Africa, especially Nigeria.

I understand our great fore fathers lived more peaceful longer life because they consumed less chemicals and processed food. In fact they enjoyed more fresh air because of more vegetation then and their environment had good ambience and wonderful serenity.

But I must confess i don't understand how they survived trekking for miles, passing information to one another at various far distances, this is just for transportation and communication alone.

Okay what of medicine? They had no medical practitioner amongst them. I understand they had good and potent herbs that worked well for them, but quantity or quality control was not at their disposal, yet they survived.

They were using both sunrise and sunset, dawn and dusk based on direction of the sun.

Farming? Majority of them were persant farmers and could only cultivate few acres of land, yet they were having abundance. Don't mean to bore you so I'll stop.

Now, anywhere around the world is a stone throw, just dial their numbers and you're there beside them, speaking with them seconds you planned earing their voices. We can travel faster than camel and horses, even overseas. Time can now be checked without sunlight.

Many inventions helped our generation a lot. We can work faster and smoother now

We owe all these wonderful inventions to those who selflessly worked tirelessly to make our own world better. Though some of them based their inventions on already existed ones.

74020_L.jpgThis post is not to dwell on how those generations before us survived neither is it to show how we are better off because of the inventions we enjoy. It is to appreciate those inventors.

I have a special place in my heart for them.

On behalf of all of us (hope I'm not alone in this), we are showing our gratitude for your sacrifices you made for humanity. Your selfless efforts are not in vain, we appreciate them

Thomas Edison, Graham Bell, Steve Jobs, @ned, Bill Gates, e.t.c. I took the liberty of getting you their names here. Guys, this post is for all of you, thank you.
