Wonders unending
Wonders unending
original poetryI bestow gratitude
through angular pidgeon-routes
that return periodically–
they whisper succulence of change
into the fuzz of my earlobe.
I am–full stop–
and yet descriptors gravitate
to my tortoise body - amber mountain
pausing at the foggy overlook.
You are, yet undetectable,
Insidious fibre - cryptic asset unobtainable,
Monochrome unicorn - God & Science–
Unattainable blasphemy of ascension,
Lavender Monocle, mustachioed rabbit.
Roaring with the sanguinary chorus,
Heartfelt praise - burnished song,
I cry thankfulness into the mocking void!
I scream joy into the grey river of time
& it answers me with wonders unending.
Gratitude is a powerful force,
May we remember to activate it daily!
Have an excellent day - Wholeness & much love!

You are on fire today. Great poem. And great images! Do you write all your poems longhand before typing them up? Wonderful. I do the same. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do that. At least I'm probably the only one crazy enough to use a blackwings pencil, etching all posts and haiku in my field notes memobook, boxes of which I will probably leave to my kids after I am gone so they can scratch their heads at how strange their pop was.
Hey @dbooster, thanks! I used to write everything by hand religiously back in 2011-2013 when I first was writing poetry (kinda stopped after that) and these days I'd estimate I write about 60% by hand. I've learned to like typing for compositions as well, but they definitely turn out more organic when writing longhand first. Especially for more emotional pieces, there's more of a connection when writing by hand. Plus - it's just really satisfying! That's awesome that you keep that! I have a ridiculous amount of writing scraps saved lol... it's funny because I often make edits when typing up that I am too lazy to put back in the original, so you would need the STEEM blockchain + my notes to see the full picture :-D
@d-pend - I like the visual imagery you create through flowing words in this poem. Especially, the grey river of time showing us wonders... I do not know why but I suddenly remembered Rick Riordan's Percy series of novels. Perhaps because there is a river Styx in it that is full of unfullfilled dreams - among other things.
Thanks. Upvoted through steemfollower.

Thank you. So exciting. A poem that challenges me to "cry thankfulness" into the mocking void!" Sometimes there is no response. But your poem finishes, "I scream joy into the grey river of time & it answers me with wonders unending." You did well to keep this poem. It is very sincere. Thank you for including us in your world.
You are specially inspired today. Your poetry is unbeliavable - you are the master of poetry my friend. Thank you for this amazing day @d-pend

The poem is very beautiful. I look forward to more poetry like this. The lines of this poem that impressed me are:
I am–full stop–
and yet descriptors gravitate
to my tortoise body - amber mountain
pausing at the foggy overlook.
