Young Heroes in the Making..#Junior Fire Fighters

It is indeed during hard times that heroes are created. He could be anyone. He could be you.

MARCH IS THE FIRE PREVENTION MONTH.

It is the month where fire starts to hit in different buildings and houses in different places. This may be brought by several factors like faulty electrical wirings, overloading and many more which is added with too much heat from the sun which could destroy so many properties and even lives.

With this, the Bureau of Fire Protection, together with the Local Government and the Department of Education, has provided different activities and training programs to minimize or to prevent fire in our municipality.

JUNIOR FIRE FIGHTERS IN THE MAKING

One of the said activity of the BFP is to train selected children and teachers from different schools in our town. This is to instill the value of teamwork, confidence, courage and responsibility even at a young age.

It is good to know that at a young age pupils are being trained how to put out fire and to join simple rescue operations and do simple first aid treatments.

Joy and fulfillment were evident on the faces of each participant including teachers as the program has ended this day.

A big thanks to the BFP unit for giving the kids wonderful time, new learnings and new experiences which they can use in their everyday lives.
