Gratefulvibes: Helping Beggars..

One day, after we preached house to house we decided to eat in a small "Turo-Turo" canteen.
We ordered and began eating our lunch.
Few minutes before we finish, one old beggar woman came near to us and start asking money.

"To tell the truth, I'm not the type of person who gives money to beggars, instead, I prefer to give them food.

Based on the beggar physical appearance, she's old and can't afford to work, but I'm still not sure, what will she gonna do with the money, if I give her. So, I simply asked the beggar if she already had lunch or not? She replied, "not yet". My aunties, my mom and I decided to give her food for lunch, so we ordered dish for her. Without words, you can notice how hungry she was.

After they ate, they never mention about the money again and they said "thank you" to us and leave the canteen.
Few minutes later, when we're about to pay the bill, here comes another old beggar woman.
But this time, she was not asking for money, she was asking to get our leftovers.
We asked her, why she want to get it even it's leftovers? We were thinking, maybe it's for her dog/s. But she replied that it was for her family. She begs and collects for the leftover to recook it for her family.

I don't know or can't understand how I felt that time. I can't imagine that there are people suffering from that kind of life or difficult situations.
I admit that we are also poor in some ways but never ask for leftovers of others just to eat.

My heart suddenly pinched with this pitiful real story I am witnessing now.

Without asking the old beggar woman if she already eat her lunch, we ordered food for her immediately. After she ate, we order another dishes for her to bring home for her family. Not leftover foods this time but simple food with love that will make her family smile.

I'm so grateful, it's not because I'm not a beggar like them, instead, I'm so grateful to the only true God because He used us as an instrument to help those people in need.

Thoughts to ponder:
We should not judge people depends on their situations, but be open-minded and generous.
Because everything we have right now is blessings from the only true God. We cannot have these things without Him. Let's share our blessings and share the love as we can.
