Hello students, It's a new week which promises to be fruitful, I want to believe we enjoyed the lesson dished out last week. It was actually second pure practical aimed at testing our knowledge and understanding of the lessons so far.

I love the fact that my student are doing pretty fine, the great stuff you did in the previous week really got me happy and fulfilled because you all were able to figure out things yourself despite the fact that I only showed you what to design without showing you the process involved and y'all came up with something brilliant.

We are in the final week but you yourself can see and tell how much you have evolved and improved in your knowledge about graphic design in the past few weeks. Your results are indeed mind-blowing. Weldone guys!

Homework Task for last week

• Replicate the design above. Let's see who comes close...smiles. "skillfully" spicing up your design is also welcome but ensure it doesn't become the reason your design ends up looking unappealing.

• Endeavour to use the same colour in the sample design. You've been taught how to get/extract colours from objects and elements, kindly apply the knowledge to get your colours.

• Change the quote used below the design and use your own motivational quote for champions.

• Be as detailed as possible showing every procedure.

• Briefly talk about the principle you engaged in your design.

Top 5 Entries

I want to specially commend every student who took part in the homework task, I could tell from the entries that y'all did your best, I just could not hide the feeling of excitement that followed even as I took my time to review the entry of each and every one of you.

But you know we all cannot emerged as the top 5, I had to careful sieve out the top 5 out of the many outstanding post I had for the week. Trust me, it was such a sensitive task for me because everyone attempted it to the best of their ability.

However, here are some of these things that deprive some of the participants from making it to the top 5 are;

• Not detailed enough.

• Most student failed to demonstrate how they got their colour hexes.

• Many used the wrong colours for their task which dropped down their point.

• Some other failed in the aspect of balance and proper positioning.

• Some hastily rushed through the task and missed vital steps/information in their practicals.

In spite of all these deficiencies, I still ensured I encouraged each and everyone of them with a good grade just to tell how much I appreciate their effort because we all are on a journey to "becoming" and should be encouraged all the way.

Notwithstanding, we have 5 top entries out of the many beautiful entries that came in. These participants singled out themselves by ensuring they leveraged on the areas where many overlooked just as captured above to emerge as the top 5. One of the winner got on board for trying something a bit outside the box which turned out to complement his design.
