Blended Families and our struggles Part 1

in #granty7 years ago

Having a blended family is not as easy as one might think. I married my wife 3.5 years ago on 24th May and we thought we had it made. Both of us coming from terrible past marriages and both having to raise or own kids without support. We promised each other that it wold work and that our kids would grow to love and accept each other. Boy! Were we wrong!

Argument after argument ensued and it became so tiresome. it still is. My wife Dunell is a really lovely person with a very bubbly personality who runs her own hair salon and I am an estate agent who does movie extra work in between.

She has 3 boys, Jodie (21) Jacques (18) and Elijah (8). I in turn have a daughter Chelsea (20) Liam (11) who I fostered from my ex wife because of her instability all the time and of course Dakota (2) my grandchild.

Jodie and Elijah lives with their Granny and Liam lives with his aunt. There are so many personalites to deal with all the time that its tearing our marriage apart. even as I am writing this my wife and I are in seperate bedrooms at the moment.
All because of a misunderstanding that went terribly wrong. The simplest thing can cause such havoc that talks of divorce are never far off.

How do you make everyone happy all the time? If you are in a similar situation I would like to hear from you just to get some advice and perspective on this. Surely there must be a solution to this madness?

How do we deal with everything and still come out unscathed?
The pic attached is from a much happier time.......
