Open Source initiatives have paved the road for technologies that we use on our daily lives, from Linux, Apache based servers, to the phone you carry in your pocket and to this very website you are now reading this in.
With distrust of the government running high and with a newly elected President in the United States, the world is now wondering what the future lays ahead. What it lays ahead, its what we build now for future generations.
What is Open-Source Governance?

The birth of the Blockchain brought us a completely different way to look at the world. Now governments across the globe are trying to figure out what to do with it and its many offsprings.

Benefits
Blockchain technology can help us keep track of just about everything in our economies, from medical and industrial databases all the way up to the voting polls.
Imagine if voting poll machines were created with all this in mind from the beginning. Not only would every single voter have access to the code for review but it would also let voters verify other votes in a decentralized manner. All while having a plublic ledger available for all to see. Possibilities are almost endless.
Its just a matter of time before we see what routes governments around the world take. It is our duties to make sure we are informed and involved in making decisions as they happen.
Moving Foward
Almost everyone has heard of Bitcoin these days, the problem is that not everyone is using it. That can be for multiple reasons. One of them being, Bitcoin is a combination of the financial world and the tech world. A lot of the public is still uncomfortable when discussing both. "We can’t defeat the existing system; we must build a better one instead"

We need to build software with the public in mind. As a student in Computer Science, I am learning more and more every day. That could not be possible if the ones that came before me didn't share their work.
As I'm learning I also want to pay it forward and teach those coming up. I invite you to do the same.

I wish I had skills in the world of crypto or computer "stuff" how ever I lack the skills but I will resteem and send you love and light...
Now as far as the future of the dollar, i have a suspicion that the economy will collapse soon in the USA and with a few bumps lets hope we come up with a new system and one that is fair and just and abundance for all, Pay it forward is awesome, Gracias for your insightfulness and talents!

Trying to think of a way to unite some members of the community to have a Code day in which we could share some cool tips or otherstuff with the community.
I've been having very similar thoughts. I have a friend who discusses mutualistic methods and meshnet systems with me and we have imagined various roads. I am just now learning about blockchain, but it seems like a natural.
