New Year Higher Minimum Wages Good Or Bad?

As we are going into another new year minimum wage jobs will be going up some starting on January 1st. However everytime the government does this it doesn't seem to help anyone except the increased tax revenue due to getting paid a higher wage. And soon cost of living will go up as it always does when an increase in the minimum wage happens. Why not instead of increasing wages how about we strengthen our dollar so maybe the cost of living would go down instead of up. I remember when a can soda was 50 cents instead of a dollar or here in Maine 1.39 it ridiculous. Not to mention house taxes go up every year if we keep moving in this direction we won't be a United country anymore we would see another civil war and riots in the streets like in Detroit in the 60's but it would be every city or town in the country I think. Strengthen the dollar not raise the wage we need better government choice's.
