Stupid new legislation from the most backward state in the union

I thought that this was too ridiculous to be real, but it's legit.

I know it's a lot of legal-ese, but here's an article that explains why limiting daily water consumption to 55 gallons per person is so ridiculous.

And how about those fines? Not everyone can shower in 8 minutes, most Americans (at least at the latitudes that California would include) like ice in their drinks (or even drink water without freezing it first), and how about rinsing all the pesticides off your produce? How many times can you flush your toilet each day and still stay under the 55 gallon mark? How about when it goes down to 50 gallons in 2030? No allowances for any of those in the legislation. How would you like to be fined thousands of dollars because you used a little too much water because of something petty like the examples I've listed? I'm sure many other examples could be put forth of indoor water usage that could put a household over the mark and subject them to fines, especially when the limits on usage drop.
