Well,we are talking about GoPro 6 and new GoPro Fusion, for older GoPro you can use any Sd card...

Both GoPro (6 and fusion) have amazing video quality 4k and more....thats why they need better SD cards

U1 speed class - minimum speed 10 MB/s or 80 MB/s
U3 speed class - minimum speed 30 MB/s or 240 MB/s

GoPro 6 4K60 maximum bitrate of video is 78 Mb/s
GoPro Fusion 5.2K maximum bitrate of video ia 120 MB/s

U3 class SD cards are good for both GoPro:)

what you need to buy is U3 SD card - GoPro recommends Lexar and Sandisk

Lexar is highest speed card so its expensive
Sandisk is good for price and performance
Samsung is the cheapest one on the market...
