Just consider the enormous power Google and Facebook combined have. They have the power do pretty much anything they want. They can steer public opinion in any way they choose. Both are private companies based in the US, and comply to nothing but a few laws as well as their internal regulations. I say we need to spread out and stop relying so much on only two companies for most all information we get fed online.
