Google announced the new features of Google Maps on the official blog post. This update will help on comfortable commuting and schooling.
1. Real-time traffic information.
You can check today's road information in real time by opening the Move (commuting/school) tab. As you always know, it will take longer than usual before leaving home, so the user's morning preparation is efficient as well. Also, if the road is crowded, it will tell you another recommended route. For Android users, when the cause of delay such as accident happens in the planned route, kindly comes to notice.
2. Use multiple means of transportation.
There cannot be only a private vehicle for the means of moving. For example, the route is complicated, such as a train after having you get in front of the station by car and a walk on the way. This update that predicts the arrival time of the destination altogether. The road is crowded so much that it tells us what time you should leave home. Since walking time from the station to the office is included in the calculation, it can grasp the arrival time more accurately than before.
3. Real-time location information.
On Google Maps, show where trains and buses you want to ride are now in real time. While watching this, you can judge according to convenience stores or dash. Real-time information will start in 80 areas in the world.
