The power that Google holds and how they can use it to steer the flow of infromation and shape "thruths", is really frightening. But luckily there is an upcoming decentraliced search engine called Presearch that is going to attack exactly those issues like in the article.

They are currently on ICO stage but I highly recommend getting into it and reading the white papers because what they are trying to do is hugely important (and a huge mountain to climb too, looking at you Google), and share the knowledge of its existence to others as well.
