Dropbox and Google Suite together to create and edit documents in Dropbox Business

in #google6 years ago

Dropbox has long been able to view documents, but has not allowed them to modify or create them within the Web interface. Google and Dropbox had announced that they would cooperate by allowing Dropbox Business users to modify and create new documents through the Google Suite ( Documents, Sheets and Slides) directly from the Dropbox interface. The integration, announced a few months ago, is now finally available.

Dropbox and Google together for document editing
This new feature allows users who use Dropbox to benefit from the ability to create and edit documents guaranteed by Google Doc without having to resort to Google Drive . The features are identical to those guaranteed so far separately by the two platforms: you can share files and edit them at the same time, as well as add comments. Sharing is managed via Dropbox as has been the case so far: this means that it is not necessary to go through the Google platform to manage sharing in another location.

The functionality is currently in the beta phase for Dropbox Business users. You can register to participate in the beta at this address , as reported by The Next Web .
