Gold prices are declining.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association has decided to reduce the rate of gold to the market by reducing the price of gold at the highest level in the world market by cutting a maximum of Tk 1,233. The new gold bid will be effective from tomorrow on Tuesday.
The matter was reported on Monday in a press release sent to the association. It is said that every Tuesday from tomorrow (11.664 grams), 22 carat gold 47 thousand 939 rupees, 21 carats 45 thousand 723 rupees and 18 carat gold will be sold at Tk. 40, 474. And the traditional method will stand the gold of 24 thousand 786. Till today, 22 carats of gold are 49 thousand 222 rupees, 21 carats 47 thousand 6 rupees, 18 carats 41 thousand 407 rupees and traditional gold coins of Tk 25 thousand and 952 are being sold.
For the reconstruction of gold, 22 and 21 carats will cost Tk 1,283, 18 carats 933 rupees and traditional method of gold will cost Tk 1,166. But silver prices remain unchanged. Every rupee silver is sold at Tk. 1,550.
Jewelery businessmen said, 91 per cent of 22 carats per year, 87 per cent in 21 carats and 75 per cent pure gold in 18 carats. Wages and Value Added Tax (VAT) will be added to the gold price to make ornaments.
