Chopped her own curly hairs
Left on a fringe to cover her scars
Inhaled deeply and looked from afar
There stands a man, the opposite of tar
For a decade she admired
A wallflower she had been
So in the waters, herself she immersed
Her eyes reflected the fires of the sun
Remembering but wanting to forget
Reassessing but wanting to withdraw
Reimagines but wanting to erase
Recalls but wanting to silence
