Always Darkest Before The Dawn Golden Hour Photography
I used this photo in a homestead photo challenge this week, but I checked and the goldenhour challenge said I can use it again. We were called at about 3 AM by our landlady, telling us the river was out of its banks and filling the pasture where our animals were. We got up to find out chickens on the perches but up to their ankles... Bessie was on a high spot in the middle of the pasture / pond, coaxing her to wade to dry ground was tricky. After a couple frantic hours, everyone was resituated so we brewed some coffee and were treated to this sunrise scene! This picture is my official entry:

Yes, sorry I did not make it clearer this was from a few years ago! We have babies right now though! Will catch up on my 7 days post tomorrow! Hugs!

Ugh - rising waters are the worst. Glad to know everything is okay.
One thing I don't miss about our house in Largo was the near-constant flooding of the low side of our house. But that's a story for another day.

And Florida actually has a homestead law, to protect homeowners, which, unfortunately, Tennessee lacks.
