When Gold Skyrockets, Will Old Mines Become Hotbeds of Activity?

Doubtful.

However, I saw a story about landslides in California that made gold accessible via panning. If there was a HUGE surge in gold, which I'm not holding my breath for, I could see it being possible to find new ways to look for gold.
