So when J.P. Morgan said "Gold is Money" in 1912.... what do you think he meant?

Here's an end of year look into the value of Gold in various currencies around the globe since coming out of the Gold standard.
It is interesting to note that the patterns are similar but what more interesting is to see how Golds value has increased since the Central Bank lead great recession / financial crisis of 2007/8.

Looking at the charts .. I think this is what he meant. Happy New Year.
