GDXJ Rebalance (Aussie Update)
Apologies for the formatting as I pulled this together quickly. I believe the Australian gold stocks illustrated below were involved in the GDXJ rebalancing. There was a significant volume of trading as expected for 16-Jun-17. Now, what will happen next week?

Hi there. I find gdxj is extremely hard to trade on, first the volatility is too high and second sometime even gold is going up if the market is bad, gdxj will still shoot down as they are more a gold miner than a gold commodity stock. But maybe i just dont have too much luck on that=p
Hi, My understanding is that because of its popularity and Canadian ETF holding regulations, Van ECK had to rebalance the GDXJ in order to not have some underlying stocks in the ETF not to have holdings greater than 20% of holdings. As a result, some stocks will benefit from this, particularly mid-tier players; and other stocks may be dropped or reduced from the ETF. There are a number of articles out there if you are interested.
