Passion for our Mission
Being part of CFC - Singles for Christ, a Catholic Community, we have a vision that "Every single men and women all over the world experiencing Christ". We live out this vision by evangelizing the single men and women in our area. Being one of the top leader of the community in our area, helping other leaders and other chapters of SFC became my goal for service this year. Our chapter was fortunate when we were tasked to do a mission at CFC Singles for Christ - Puerto Galera Chapter. Without hesitations, our group started planning for the mission trip. Speakers for the Christian Life Program and Evangelization Training were discerned as well as the songs that the Music Ministry will play during the event.
Night before the mission trip, music ministry members convened for their practice. Nineteen members from our chapter confirmed attendance to the said activity. With an early morning call time, our group were already on our way at around seven in the morning. There were members who took the passenger's van while some of us road using our personal motorcycle. There was even a brother who lend his motorcycle since he cannot join the trip while there are brothers who want to join but doesnt have resources / servixe to use. The trip, I believe is part of God's will for that day. I left the house while the rain was pouring heavily but when we started travelling to Puerto Galera, the rain suddenly disappeared.
We were welcomed warmly by Tito Julius, our Couple Coordinator from Puerto Galera and had our AM snack to his restaurant called "Sadyain" which serves delicious PETMALOMI.
The program started 10 in the morning with our brothers and sisters from Puerto Galera. 
Bro. Carlo led the opening worship. We kindda miss worshiping the Lord together to be honest with you that is why we were excited with the worship.
Talk proper immediately started after the worship. Sis Nina talked about Evangelism and Spiritual Welfare. I was strucked with the activity we had prior to her talk proper. Participants were asked to sit with chairs around while one participant is standing. The one standing will ask one member who is sitting this question: Do you love me? If he/she said Yes, all members must me moved from their chair and have to look for another vacant chair. If the/ she said no, he/she will be asked who do he/she love? Then will tell certain category that may agree to some of the participants like I love all those who are wearing blue ( all those who are wearing blue have to leave their chair and look for another chair). The one who will not be able to secure a seat will be the next one asking Do you love to the other participants.
Sis Mikee discussed What is CLP while Sis Pia shared about Handling Discussion Group.
Carlo and I shared about Evangelization in SFC and The Great Commission respectively.
All the queries of our bros and sis were answered to prepare them and equip them with confidence for their Christian Life Program. The group was prayed-over prior to the closing worship.
After closing worship, Tito Julius expressed his gratitute towards SFC Calapan for extending extra mile in doing mission trip for SFC Puerto Galera. Teary-eyed, I was moved by his words and prayed for whatever will it is for the service to their CLP.
I prayed that if it is Lord's will to send us to the area to serve as Discussion Group Leader and Music Ministry. I prayed that they will be blessed with alot of participants and that the service team be empowered even if they are few in the area.
This is mission life. It doesnt have to be comfortable. Sometimes we have to sacrifice our own comfort just to be able to reachout among other brothers and sisters; travel for couple of hours just to stay in the area for less than an hour, spend our treasures to be able to serve others without expecting anything in return. But why do we keep on doing this?
There is a sense of fulfillment everytime we serve. We are blessed that's why we want to share this blessing to other people and this is the very purpose of our existance: to know, to love and to serve the Lord.
We are SFC Calapan, we are SFC...
