The British Museum is working with Decentraland, the Ethereum-based sandbox team, to create a virtual universe that can be explored and interacted with by anyone in the world. The project, called the British Museum: Blockchain Art, will allow visitors to explore the British Museum's collection of more than 200,000 artifacts and around 100,000 digital objects.

The museum will uses Ethereum blockchain technology to digitize its collection, creating a platform that allows users to explore the galleries and museum collections through a virtual reality headset.
