Why Banks Have Been Reluctant to Offer Crypto Trading.

in #gjdkhls2 years ago

Cryptocurrencies have been incredibly volatile since their inception. For example, Bitcoin fell by over 50% in a single day in early 2018. This volatility makes it difficult for banks to offer crypto trading, as they are typically risk-averse institutions. In addition, the value of cryptocurrencies is often dependent on public sentiment, which can be fickle.
Lack of Understanding and Regulatory Uncertainty

Another reason why banks have been reluctant to offer crypto trading is due to the lack of understanding about cryptocurrencies among bank employees. In addition, there is regulatory uncertainty surrounding cryptocurrencies, which makes it difficult for banks to comply with the ever-changing regulations.
