Litecoin (LTC) Transaction Volume Surpasses 175 Million
Litecoin (LTC) had a record year in 2019 and the momentum looks set to continue. The digital currency hit a new all-time high of $80.51 on Wednesday, surpassing the $90 mark, considered by many market players to be Litecoin's most important technical hurdle.
The move comes as part of a broader price surge that saw the cryptocurrency rise 35% from its January low of $36 to today's levels. This week also continues with some positive developments for Litecoin, including:
Founder Charlie Lee Announces “Little Sister”, Announces LTC/USD Exchange Pair Litecoin partner Bitpanda has announced that it will support other cryptocurrencies in addition to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
A statement from Coinbase shows that the company has applied for regulatory approval to include Litecoin as a base currency on its platform.
