The political history of Ghana is continually becoming one of the greatest histories been created in the world. The country Ghana, organizes elections every four years. In the year 2012-2016, John Dramani Mahama, leader of the National Democratic Congress, was President.

His main opponent, lost to him in the 2012 election. It was more than historical after the leader of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, went to court to call for the annulment of the 2012 elections. In a 4-3 rulings from the Supreme Court, John Dramani Mahama was declared President.

John Dramani Mahama and Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo met for the second time in another election in 2016. For the first time in the history of Ghana, an incumbent President, in this case John Dramani Mahama, lost in his bid for a second term re-election to no one else but Nana Addo Dankwa.

In 2020, Nana Addo clashed again with Mahama in the general election and Nana Addo once again floored the former President, John Dramani Mahama.

The next history in the making is the 2024 general elections which will feature either John Dramani Mahama against the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama against Alan Kyeremanten and other possible combinations.
