THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER
Jingle bell, jingle bells jingle all the way
Jingles, mingles, twinkles, tingles, all fly in our bay
Oh how great a feast in a world going astray
Refresh, recline while Santa leads many astray
The sac falls, the silver coins spill
The just man falls, glory watered to nil
All in surge to sell the unsellable Savior
For a tingle of men’s valueless honor
The world blinds many against the Worthy
Only to bind them to the worthless duty
A caravan of the blind, only the end speaks
A telegram from above: only the wise sees
How swiftly they sell what, to others, eternity offers
For the thirty pieces of silver the world’s system offers
Oh how our unconcern push many to that great calamity
Calamity that stays till the last clock ticks in eternity.
Crossless Christianity glitters as the Eastern stars
Many run to embrace it; it’s beauty without scars!
A cold hug from fresh frozen prosperity enters the spirit
And freezes the Saints’ bones far earlier than they ever finish
Wrestling in rest, praying in sleep, how can we win?
Copying the world, hoping for grace, grace begets sin?
“God forbid!” A sound that reverberates in Romans six
The blood spills to save, soldiers aren’t giving up on sleep
Why sleep on the battle while the foe rage in anger?
Why let filthy gold replace the diamond in the manger?
Why conform to a world that needs to conform to us?
Why? Why? Why the thirty but not the cross attracts us?
Stanza 1
It describes the christmass season and its celebaration. How the real meaning of Christmas is being shifted to Santaclause.
Stanza 2
The sac falls, the silver coins spill tells about the end of human life, just like how it happened to Judas after what he taught was the best to go for rather turned out to be a form of bitterness he regretted for. This fall is still occurring today to the extent that the glory that God has for us His saints is being watered down to nothingness. The just man falls, glory watered to nil all because we’re trading the unsellable souls that we need to save for the little gains that this world provide. All in surge to sell the unsellable Savior For a tingle of men’s valueless honor. Christ is so expensive to be sold, He is priceless, in the same light today, the souls that need to be saved through His blood are priceless. The cost of these souls are more than all the riches of this world put together(Mark ) Yet many of us stay unconcerned as many walk ignorantly to hell.
Stanza 3
Why are we not seeing the riches in these souls? There seems to be a sort of blindness that made us to rather value the worthless (spiritually speaking) duties that this world bestow upon us. The world blinds many against the Worthy Only to bind them to the worthless duty Now only a few of the church but a convoy (caravan) of us are heading towards the benefits of the earth rather than the telegram from above which says “Go ye therefore into the world…” A caravan of the blind, only the end speaks A telegram from above: only the wise sees
Stanza 4
This stanza went on to explain how we quickly give up on the salvation of other people we know very well that they would enter hell ( the great calamity) one day
Stanza 5
Crossless Christianity symbolizes Christianity without suffering- a term I first heard from Bishop Dag Heward Mills. This crossless Christianity is so nice as shiny (glitters as the Eastern stars) that many people run to it as it look to be associated with no pains or suffering which ultimately is a desception. It freezes so much that, most Saint that toe the path of this crossless Christianity end up not finishing their works on earth (And freeze the Saints’ bones far earlier than they ever finish)
Stanza 6
This stanza describes how the freezing from the crossless Christianity has made us become: No worrior wrestles while resting, no prayer in sleep can ever produce fruits just like Jesus’ disciples who slept while He prayed he told them they could fall in trouble. (Wrestling in rest, praying in sleep, how can we win?) The church now copies the world that needs rather to copy us… We wallow in sin because of Grace. But look at what Apostle Paul said in Romans Six verse 1-2
Rom 6:1-2
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? KJV Copying the world, hoping for grace, grace begets sin?
“God forbid!” A sound that reverberates in Romans six
The blood spills to save, soldiers aren’t giving up on sleep
Stanza 7
The diamond in the manger symbolize Jesus Christ, the Savior born to redeem the world
As you celebrate Christmas, remember the purpose for the birth of Christ is to redeem a world of sinners to reconcile us to the Father. Share the Gosple of salvation with someone today, during this season and make it your lifestyle so that the blood of Jesus shall not go waste. God bless you.
