Life Of An Airline Pilot- What Does It Look Like?
To be a pilot ca be very rewarding especially when it comes to finance and job satisfaction. However, there are up and downs associated with being a pilot. Pilot training is very expensive and it requires highly unique skills.
Due to the challenges involved in being a pilot, income given to pilots are very high. They earn an average salary of 30, 000 pounds to over 150, 000 pounds depending on the level of position of seniority. However, remuneration can differ from company to company. The bigger the aircraft, the further you go and the higher the pay.
Duty rosters are perfectly good offering more off days than a typical Monday to Friday job. One downside is that, you may seldom have a free weekend and even bank holidays would be a working day for you. A normal social life can be very challenging as most of your time spent will be in the air while your friends are at work and children at school.
The good side of over coming the social life lock will be you having truly fantastic sights from the air at maybe a 35, 000 feet. You will never get tired of catching this amazing atmosphere.
A typical day for an airline pilot varies. At a time, you could start work at 5 am and work for 4hours while during some days, you could start work at 12 pm and work for 13 hours.
