The time has come to close the submission for the beats. The first 2 weeks have collected a nice variated playlist of beats / instrumentals – which is music without vocals – To make some vocals for.

SINGERS RAPPERS AND VOCALISTS

Now it’s all about recording good vocals that will enhance the track and sound perfect on the instrumental. This round, you, amateur singers, rappers, or hummers or whatever one can be called who uses their voice. You compete in a challenge where there are possibly pro’s too.. This is not a problem though since it comes now to the talent inside you to show up.

Are you somebody who always had the dream to record an actual song? NOW IS THAT TIME!

RECORDING TIPS

• Be sure you have a proper microphone. Condenser phones do the job.

• Record while listening to the song on headphones
  • Record the vocals in programs like audacity which is free for download for mac aswel as for
  PC
• Have your mouth about 10-15 cm in distance of the microphone (don't put it in your mouth) and reduce the noise on the background as much as possible

REACH OUT TO THE PRODUCER OF THE BEAT AND FINISH THE SONG TOGETHER

There are many tutorials available on youtube to get to know the basics. It is very easy. We expect a certain responsibility from the competitors to reach out to the producer him/her
self and not ask for help about how to record, this contest is aiming quality

Judging

Proudly the jury will consist of friends in the network and to make sure to have a quality standard consist experienced ears with a background in music production, distribution, curation and technical engineering. The judging panel consists of me, @atomscollectorrecord @ivanatman @jonny-clearwater @edje and @reko

The complete tracks will be judged on the level of quality in the mixdown, the vocal singing, the character and expression of the track (do the vocals add to the track?) What the message is that the track supposes to bring over, creativity and originality.

There will be 2 weeks time for submissing the final track

• Submit a post to the track that contains vocals on the instrumental
• Send in only 1 audio file, which is the track with vocals
• (Keep the recording in case mastering requires the vocals without the beat for mixing if you win and when needed)
