FOR PLATEAU
Yesterday,
A fierce cry of our brothers came
Sounding and humming like mocking birds
Groaning like rams to be offered for sacrifice
Oh! how it hurts when death stand firm and take lives
Fathers in the hands of terrorists pleading and shouting, "survival!"
Mothers become widows without shelter
Innocent bloods paint the streets red
Orphans now to solitarily spend their lives.
Today,
From the cloud of broken stories, stale dreams and unread poems
We pick an epistle for those who chew black chalk
Learn strange languages taught by guns and knives
Plateau,
The table land flooded with bloods and lifeless bodies
You'll say life isn't fair, don't judge us because life is a chameleon
Someday we see happiness
Someday our skin taste bruise
