FEW OF THE LOST CITIES IN LEGENDS AND STORIES.
The mysteries of Lost civilizations and the cities, have captured imaginations for long time. Stories written, film s made and many endeavors to find the lot cities were embarked upon to solve the locations of some of the cities.
THE LOST CITY OF Z
It is suppose to be in the Jungle of Matia Grasso in Brazil. In 1925 a three man team led by British Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett entered into the jungle, to search for the city, neer to bee seen of heard of again.! It is estimated that about 100 mend died in the effort to search for them . The theory of the Lost City of Z is believed to have originated in the Kuhikugu legends...an archaeological complex in the vicinity, discovered in the early 20th century, supposedly hving had a population of over 50,000 people.

ATLANTIS
Every person has heard of the Lost City of Atlantis.
It is a legendary city that sank into the sea in a single day and night. Several claims and theories have surfaced ov e the years, but no real proof or archaeological facts exist so far. Atlantis is believed to be an Utopian city a re[representative of paradise lost. Plato mentioned it first in His Plato allegorical dialogues,, Tinaeus and Critias

IRAM OF THE PILLARS
Also called Atlantis of the Sands"."
It was supposed to b a great and grand metropolis inhabited by the Ad people. Described in the 89 th Chapter of the Quran. It is the tale of a city that was destructed because of the wickedness of the people. A sandstorm rose up for 8 days and seven nights, and the desert consumed the entire city and it's wicked inhabitants.
EL DORADO
In the 16th century the legends of El Dora do originated with Europeans, who were captivated with stories of untold treasures. Spain sent conquistadors to search for this treasure. The legend goes that there was a city high in the Andes mountains, whose king was covered in gold dust ! (the Name El Dorado means the gilded one). the legend evolved to be that not only the king but the entire Kingdom was covered in gold.
SHANGRI LA
James Hiten in his book "Lost Horison"(1933) describes a mysterious valley in Tibet, where modern technology did not exist, as it was banned, and people turned to the natural life, where all of the world's wisdom is kept, and all live in peace and harmony.

the Arthurian legend with Tristan and Iseult the Lyonesse is the homeland of Tristan..but the island sunk into the sea.It was a huge land with 140 or so villages and Churches. .
CAMELOT.
The well-known castle of King Arthur. It was the great and beautiful capital of Arthur's Kingdom.
Norris J Lacey an Arthurian scholar says it was located nowhere and everywhere.

There are many so called lost city legends and mysteries, with many diverse theories. but the above has always been favorite with many.
