The Babadook is Gay! And they're all around you
Horror movie character The Babadook, is the latest gay icon, and it makes perfect sense.
Despite the best intentions of god fearing moderates, homosexuality is scary and against the teachings of the major religions. Gays are still killed for being gay. While not an exclusively religious posiiton (look at Russia) it is perpetuated by them, almost obsessively.
The existence of Gays challenge fundamental beliefs
Why? It challenges their theology, on how Man is created.
For the church, the unsaid agenda is that Gays as a sexual orientation simply could not exist because it will destroy their absolute theology. The anecdotal evidence that being gay is innate since very young is so strong that it sacres the Christian Fundamentalist. For many, there was no possibility a person being born gay despite the obvious evidence and experience in the history of humanity through time and across cultures and religions. If being gay is innate, it would go directly against their bible interpretation and put in doubts – ie how could a good God create gays, whilst the bible considers it as sin.
Judaism and Islam are much more legalistically oriented and we will often hear about scholars saying this or that. But the reality is much closer to the Westboro Baptist Church, an outright and staunch hate for fags.

In the paternalistic society we live in, the parent protector acts as guardian to the sexuality of their children, until such a time they can be joined together, under god, under elder supervision. Nothing is private, nothing is owned.
But the Babadook is still there are the corners of your mind, a man wearing lipstick. Under the floorboards, waiting to come out. Literally, figuratively, magically.
What if that guy walking down the street is gay? Or the mailman? Or those two women who look like men? What does that mean for society?
Well fuck me in the ass batman, it means that you're never going to get your paradise and you're going to have to kill all those people. Or wait for G_d to do it for you.
But ... what if your kid is gay?
Hence the Babadook. In your own home. Always a potential.
So don't forget, Satanism is gay! It is all sexuality.
