Dine like God in Barcelona. :) / Speisen wie Gott in Barcelona. :)

In autumn 2015 we had, as many times before, a nice stay in our beloved Spanish Málaga, but after that, for the first time, we visited Barcelona as well. Barcelona has a lot to offer, fantastic buildings, a harbor, a sandy beach and much sun. For me as biologist the botanical garden was very interesting, too, and above all of course we enjoyed the numerous options to dine out and have some great meals.

As great as the holiday was, so unhappily (or better call it stupidly) we lost most of the huge amount of photos we had made during our stay in Barcelona of which ultimately only a comparable small percentage remained ... After the trip in succession of a system update of my wife's smartphone not only nearly all videos got deleted (we had made great recordings of a rallye in the center of the city which we just accidentally had noticed, and also from the 'Fuente Mágica de Montjuic'), but also many of the best photos (it surely is no mistake to save ones data before updating a system ...).
However, I didn't do any better than her as I lost a memory card full of photos. This is why many of the best pictures are simply gone ... and I hope that the pictures presented here still tolerably meet the high demands of you 'quality-accustomed' Steemians. :-)

Despite of this disappointment, I decided to share some of the remaining images with you.
I would like to begin with the culinary aspect of the trip.

We spent our time in Barcelona in the absolutely recommendable hotel 'Brummell'. It is a modern furnished hotel with extremely friendly staff. For breakfast, besides good coffee, there were also various kinds of tea, whereby the green tea tasted particularly well. The dinner offered an adequate range of very tasty and partial exotic (for example kangaroo tartar) food.

Outside among others we ate in the restaurant 'Arume' where, apart from very good food, especially the fantastic cocktails and the delicious desserts are worth mentioning.

Im Herbst 2015 verbrachten wir, wie schon so oft, eine schöne Zeit im geliebten spanischen Málaga, um danach aber zum ersten Mal zusätzlich Barcelona zu besuchen. Barcelona hat äußerst viel zu bieten, fantastische Bauwerke, einen Hafen, Sandstrand und viel Sonne, einen für mich als Biologen sehr interessanten botanischen Garten und vor allem natürlich auch zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, sehr gut essen zu gehen.

So toll der Urlaub auch war, so unglücklich bzw. stümperhaft gingen wir mit den Massen an geschossenen Fotos um, von denen letztlich nur ein kläglicher Rest übrig blieb ... Nach der Reise wurden nach einem Systemupdate des Smartphones meiner Frau so gut wie alle ihre Videos (wir hatten tolle Aufnahmen von einer Stadtrallye, in die wir eher zufällig hineingeraten waren, sowie vom 'Fuente Mágica de Montjuic' gemacht) sowie zahlreiche der besten Fotos aus unerklärlichen Gründen gelöscht (vorm Updaten die Daten zu sichern, wäre sicher kein Fehler gewesen).
Ich selbst stellte mich allerdings nicht gerade geschickter an als sie, da ich eine Speicherkarte voller Fotos verlor. Insofern sind viele der besten Bilder einfach weg ... und ich hoffe, die hier präsentierten, übrig gebliebenen Fotos genügen dennoch wenigstens einigermaßen den hohen Ansprüchen 'qualitätsverwöhnter' Steemians. :-)

Trotz dieser Enttäuschung entschied ich mich dafür, einige der verbliebenen Bilder mit euch zu teilen.
Beginnen möchte ich mit dem kulinarischen Aspekt der Reise.

Die Zeit in Barcelona verbrachten wir im absolut empfehlenswerten Hotel 'Brummell'. Es ist ein modern eingerichtetes Hotel, mit äußerst freundlichem Personal. Zum Frühstück gab es neben gutem Kaffee auch verschiedene Tees, wobei mir der grüne Tee besonders gut schmeckte. Das Abendessen bot eine ausreichend große Auswahl sehr leckerer und teilweise exotischer (z. B. Känguruh-Tatar) Speisen.

Auswärts aßen wir unter anderem im Restaurant 'Arume', wo neben sehr gutem Essen vor allem auch fantastische Cocktails und leckerer Nachtisch geboten wurden.
