Spinach and Garlic
Last fall I planted spinach seeds I had saved from the previous year, and those seeds had come from plantings from two and three years before, so this is my great-great-great grand-spinach. The seeds sprouted in September and then it snowed and the ground froze. A few weeks ago I noticed the spinach was still alive and vibrant green leaves appeared.
The garlic cloves were planted last fall as well. They will be full bulbs by July.
