Steemit turned me on to LED indoor use.
Winter is coming.
After reading a few articles on steemit I decided to take the plunge and start growing plants indoors. I got a strip of red/blue leds from Amazon. The link is below.
After testing the strip with a kilowatt meter it came in at 30 watts. I purchased two just in case the output wasn't enough. If you grow plants let me know what kind of wattage I should be running at.
My chopping block which is largely unused and full of coins, keys and mail I decided would become my platform for growing plants. Here is the underside before the soldering and application of the strips.
After affixing the strips and hot gluing the wiring onto the chopping block here are a few photos of it turned on.
After a few hours of running and testing both the power supply and the strips it appeared to be cool and running well. Here is a final photo.
For $22 usd not a bad price.
