Yes, the trick is to make them think that it was their idea and that it's the most fun in the world! No, really, they love helping and being involved. If you give them a vote and let them make some decisions, things go well.
Sounds like a great way to get them involved. When working with the kids, I sometimes forget to let them toss in their opinion. A lot of times, their opinions are better then the way I was telling them to do it. I've got to learn to keep my big mouth shut.
