i lived in Tampa, Fl. in Fla there are all the toads, frogs, snakes, lizards, ladybugs, mantises, et cetera. we still had cockroaches, they are everywhere in florida. new neighbors moved in. they had chickens. they ate EVERYTHING. it was the only time in florida that we didn't have bugs anywhere, the whole yard was scoured clean. they eat all of your pests and turn them into eggs, how cool is that?
