Fig Tree Cuttings Update: SeeingSome Results
Getting some Results
Okay so it has been a good while since the last update on the fig tree cuttings. Let's see where we are at in terms of growth and what the overall goal was.
Let's take a look at the first three pictures below:
We see the beginning of some top-growth.
More top-growth...
...and more top-growth!
Top-growth is nice and all, but that's for the most-part the easy part for the average person starting fig trees from cuttings.
The real challenge for many is getting root-growth or a root-system before the top-growth because if you get top growth with no root-system to support it the cutting will most likely die.
So did the method used give the results of a root-system before the top-growth,
The next 6 pictures below will give you the answer to that question:
Yes, out of the ten cuttings so far three of them have a root-system and the beginning of top-growth. Probably in the next coming days or so I will transplant these three in a pot with actual soil instead of the coco-coir they are currently in.
I'll wait and see of the others will root or not, but even if they don't I'm pretty happy with the results and will have more success if I do this again in the future.
