3 Extremely High Yielding Tomato Strains
GIVE ME MORE MATERS!
Although I love gardening and I enjoy it as a hobby the biggest reason why I do it is simple, for food. Its great to dig through the dirt and plant stuff but for me the reward is at the end when you get to enjoy your harvest. Regardless of the size of the harvest, you enjoy those vegetables that you grew yourself. There is just something different about the taste of food your grew yourself and I really do believe that everyone should try growing a couple vegetables, it's a wonderful thing.
Over the last 2 years I have read a fair bit about tomato plants on my quest to test out new types and find my favorite strain. I have tried about 8 or so different kinds of tomato variety and so far the black cherry tomato grew the most for me. But this year, I want size and quantity so I have compiled this list of 3 high yielding tomato strains that I am going to grow this year.
#1 Mortgage Lifter Tomato
Description: Large and smooth fruits that can average 1-2 lbs with a slightly pinkish tint with a sweet and rich tomato flavor. There is a story that the man that bred this tomato sold plants for 1$ and paid off his $6000 mortgage. This tomato will probably have the largest fruits of all the tomatoes I grow this year.
#2 Super Sweet 100 Hybrid
Description: Scarlet, 1 oz. Cherry-sized tomatoes produce long clusters right up to frost. These are also known for being a variety that has an absolutely insane amount of tomatoes in huge clusters. Last year on a regular cherry tomato plant I got a cluster of 7 and thought it was so awesome, I can't wait for these to grow. I would have bought sweet million tomatoes also but I could not find them this year.
#3 Rutgers
The Rutgers tomato is a very common and popular type of tomato. Believe it or not, the Rugers was originally created by the Campbell's soup company back in the 1920's. This tomato is noted for an exceptionally great taste, high yield, and rather quick growth rate.
Follow Me To See Updates Later This Year!
I will be making posts following the progress of my gardening adventures this year. I am trying so many new things and I am also trying new locations! Last year I grew a bunch of different varieties and because of that, some failed and some did ok. I was left feeling like I didn't find my favorite strain that I want to grow yet. Also, I like to have abundance so that I can freeze/dry/can some of my extra tomatoes and that is what lead me to these tomatoes. These are not the only types I am testing this year but they are the ones that I picked for their prolific growth! I can't wait to see what the future holds!
nice collection.... good luck for your work....

The tomato is very tasty, it can be eaten in different ways.
It has no comparison, that of harvesting them for yourself.
