RE: fall is here - and winter is coming...
Very nice.
We just had our first frost two days ago. Ever grow San Marzano tomatoes? They're my favorite because you can use them for paste or dry them and they're good cooked fresh with a little basil over pasta.
I've never had much luck saving cucumber seed. How ripe must it be? Yellow or rotting?
We minnows don't have much voting power. I'm your fifth upvote on this. Now you have a penny. Ha!
we actually dry most of the San Marzano and put them into oliveoil with basil and garlic :-) With collection seed from the cucumbers I try to find the point just between ripe and overripe/rotting ;-) I callence always... Thanks for the upvote and here's this years San Marzano:

Mmmm. Still not willing to adopt me, eh? :(
:-) :-) :-) the house is crowed already, but I'll put you on the waiting list ;-)
You could invite me to dinner, but it's a long swim from Turtle Island. :)
whenever a wave should bring you closer, there's a door open for you here ;-) Today there'd be a mangold-quiche and a pumkin-pie awaiting you - as always all coming from the garden :-) Big cheers to you!
Oh stop it! Now you're just being cruel. Bono appetito.
I was taught "sharing is caring" ;-)

here's milk, mangold-quiche (hubby already ate some...) and pumpkin-pie .... enjoy :-)
The world needs more people like you. Thanks for sharing.
Here's what I had for dinner:
BBQ pizza.
I live in a log cabin. Don't have power, a stove or even indoor plumbing. Made it in a cast iron frying pan in a gas BBQ. Wish I could say I grew all of the ingredients. Some, yes. Most, no.
