Cayenne Chili Pepper
The Chili Pepper is the fruit of plants from the genus capsicum and known for their hot flavor.
There are different kinds of chili pepper with different color too. They are widely used in many cuisines to add spiciness to dishes.
In our garden we only have one kind of chili pepper, the "cayenne pepper" locally known as "sili espada" in our place. :) Sili is filipino for chili and espada for sword. We called it "sili espada" due to it's shape that looks like a sword..
This chili has been supplanting in the philippines because it is easier to grow and harvest.
This chili is quite hot. Everyone enjoys chili peppers, there are so many different kinds and they are used in so many different kinds of recipes. I am extremely fond of spicy food and it is fond of me as well.
So start your recipes now with chili peppers. :)
