Summer is here, and if you haven’t updated your garden furniture for a while, then now is the perfect time. With outdoor dining having a big surge in popularity, this year’s big garden trend is all about ‘al-fresco’, whether it’s living, eating or socialising. This trend is about creating an outdoor space that’s not just for looking out onto whilst you’re washing the dishes, it’s about creating a space for eating and entertaining, as well as relaxation and loungability. To do this, you’ll need the right garden furniture that has a sense of style, design and flexibility.

Create a Second Living Room
No one wants to miss out on the gloriously sunny days and evenings because there is no space to enjoy it. Creating an outdoor living space provides you with the perfect area to wind down after a long day at work and make the most of the weather. Picking a seating area that’s right for you and the family is a must. Gone are the days of rickety, plastic chairs and tables - pick some luxury rattan garden furniture for a comfortable seating arrangement that you can enjoy using every day.

Set the ambience for your outdoor living area with some solar or electrical garden lighting. Lighting will set a particular mood for your garden, as well as providing safety and creating a charming focal point. Candles are a great choice too but aren’t ideal if you have little ones.

Keep It Natural
Create a natural look for your outdoor area by placing potted plants around your garden. They will provide sweet scents, as well as provide lots of colour and texture and attract bees and other wildlife to your garden. Plants such as Giant Papaver King Kong, Gardenia Crown Jewel and Hydrangea Paniculata Vanilla Fraise will add a real summery look to your garden, however, before purchasing, check that your garden has enough room for the plants you want to add and that these flowers are the right type for your garden.

Another way to create a natural look in your garden is by using potted plants or small bushes to create natural pathways. If you’re creative enough, you can even box off areas with them to create ‘rooms’ in your garden. Adding in a water feature or a fire pit will really bring the elements together and provide a magnificent focal point.

Garden Decking
Garden decking used to be all the rage, but this has recently been replaced by composite decking. Composite decking gives you the desired surface that is slip resistant, splinter-free and doesn’t need sealing or painting. Composite Decking is perfect for those who want a low maintenance garden. Make it stylish by adding in some bright coloured summer plants and a built-in seating area. Adding a table and chairs set will enable you to sit outside morning, noon and night and enjoy what your garden has to offer. Rattan and weave furniture is extremely low maintenance and looks effortlessly stylish.
