Birthday Idea to Record in the Time Capsule of Blockchain Technology
I wanted to thank everyone for all the nice birthday wishes. One more year until the big 4.O !
Had been on the look out for a deal on a dozen knock out rose to replace other dead bushes for the front of the homestead. Worked out well today with Rod @ Fairview Walmart discounting out much inventory! What's wrong in $2.50 each?
My little Thespian helper
On the way in the old truck, the windshield wipers failed to come on shortly after leaving and if Evins was not with me, I'd probably kept on trucking with limited vision (something like Ace Ventura).
Anyways, the thought came on about dying on a birthday to keep a nice round number for loved one's memories (everyone notices the headstones of people that pass on birthdays).
So, the semi morbid thought continued as Evins was jabbering, trying desperately to keep a secret about her gift to me..... little does she realize that the time & moments are the daily gift.
Thought it was worthwhile to expand - everyone takes the time to wish others well every year on birthdays; albeit just a simple click, maybe a few nice words and if they are really into it all, some smile creating emojis! Yes, I could do a simple blanket reply with equal effort and it would suffice, but the thought continued.
Life moves so quickly, especially in this new dawn of rapidly expanding technology. Our attention spans are short, the daily grind of family, work and otherwise seems to lead to very surface level relationships or nonexistent all together. Then, the only contact is FB, the periodic support when catastrophes happen or at funerals. Who wants to catch up at a funeral !?!
Thoughts are thoughts are thoughts...so, what am I going to really do about it? Such is life, right? What if, I wrote a mini update from the prior year and optimism for the upcoming year? I will......
The last year has been a semi steady rollercoaster balance of daily life - personal, family & career.
Evins has grown faster than the weeds in the garden to be cliche. She graduated preschool, so the day to day morning and off day routine with her has simplified. I enjoyed every second of it!
For the first part of the year, there were many automotive issues, but (for the time being) most everything has been repaired and goes down the road. I'd like to get 80K more miles from my car, so hopefully on next year's birthday update, I'll purchase a new car- What kind will it be? Suggestions?
Career- Just beginning the second year of PathRealty.net
WOW, what a ride so far! Completed the entire office remodel and added a residential side, along side commercial dealings. It's a different ball game when being business owner vs agent only. My goal from the beginning was to build a nice client experience with technology systems, plus sharpening interpersonal skills and relationships. I'm happy to say that it's happening!
Education & implementation has been key. I've taken countless courses on a wide variety of subject/ systems for work and most importantly, self development.
Looking forward....projects in the garden/"nature reserve" and home, that I've been pondering for years are being projected into reality more each day. (maybe I'll do a few posts along the way)
Business will continue to grow, the sun will come up and down each day as another year passes.
I'd like to make a point to interact with people beyond social media and email. Maybe a phone call, coffee, meal or an event....something! I'll make an effort.
In conclusion, thanks again and hope this post finds everyone well. Oh, if you haven't heard of Steemit yet, I'd suggest checking it out- very, very interesting use of blockchain technology.
Before-
After - The Pink Knockout Rose bushes should fill in nice within a few years and will look nice in front of the white
Hi Nathan, finally I was able to browser your website. It was never loading for me an now I found out why. The link here on STEEM is automatically set to https, but your site does not support it. Only http. Can you log in to your backoffice of the website and check if you can activate https encryption somewhere for that webspace? Your provider should support that somewhere.
