Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all Indians
A Hindu celebration honouring the birth of the god Ganesha is called Ganesh Chaturthi.
Vinayaka Chaturthi (Vinyaka Caturth), or Vinayaka Chaviti (Vinyaka Cavit) (Ganesh). Ganesha's clay statues are placed both publicly on elaborate pandals and privately in houses to honour the event (temporary stages).
Chanting of Vedic hymns and Hindu scriptures, such as prayers and vrata, are among the customs observed (fasting). Sweets like modaka, which are thought to be a favourite of Ganesha, are among the offerings and prasada from the daily prayers that are given out from the pandal to the community.
On the tenth day after the festival begins, the idol is carried in a public procession while music is played and people are shouting. The idol is then submerged in a nearby body of water.
