Blockchain Video Game Jobs That Might Exist In The Future

in #gaming5 years ago

Sure an in-game economy makes sense and so does selling you virtual items. I can easily see a future where you can grind for loot and sell it for part-time money or make a coin in-game that will have value outside of the game. But there is so much more we can do with blockchain tech and gamers might find there are jobs that exist in the future that do not exist today. I do not know if these will bring in enough money to be a full-time job but I do see gamers making good bank from their hobby if a game gets popular enough.
Virtual Item Market Trader:

Do you know how much that rare sword sells for? If you do you can spot goods on the market that are under-priced and resell them for higher numbers. This could help to add more liquidity to the market and knowing what things sell for can become a full-time job. This involves a lot of in-game knowledge but if you have it why not put it to use.

Level Designer:

You have seen games where people can make levels and add them for people to play. Why not charge a coin for them? Or you can have a daily reward pool like steemit has and reward people for making a really great level that gets downloaded and played like crazy. There are a lot of talented people out there who can create levels as good as the dev team can and this would be a way to reward them financially.

Creating In-Game Art:

Games where you can design your own character exist but what if you can sell that design as you would a painting. You could make a hat for a character that only has 100 copies and sell them as you would a real hat in the store. Talented artists will be able to create digital goods that are unique and would be, in a sense, works of art.

Ranked Master:

Ranked mode is always fun in games and lets you put your skills to the test. But besides bragging rights what else do you get when you rank high at the end of the season? With crypto and blockchain you can reward players with coins that are as good as cash for dominating the leaderboards. Not only can you make money from streaming or esports but you can make a living playing well each month.

All we need are games that are popular enough to have the audience needed for a virtual economy and these jobs can be a real thing in the months or years to come. I know I am keeping an eye out for them.
