Eternal Senia - Indie JRPG, Yes Some People Still Play These

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

Do people still play these? I do. Let's talk about it.

A 2D indie J-RPG(Japanese Role Playing Game) that is available on Steam at a cost of nothing. Yes, it's free! Invest five minutes of your time to see if it's worth it, because you can never fully judge a game if you haven't played it. That is the first rule. Yes, I make the rules on this write-up.

Title screen!

For all you old fans of the genre, this would be a lovely fast paced game to play, I'd give it a 2 to 4 hours of playtime to get done with all of the three endings that the game has. SPOILERS.

Do not judge the game by its cover and the almost horrible English translation patch this game has. It's a really fast paced game where you build your equips fighting mobs just by getting close to them, remember those old Zelda games? Something like that...

The boss fights were the breathtaking moments of the game, these bosses were in a kind of a 3D figurine that you had to survive all kinds of attacks from on a 2D battlefield. Extra mobs, AoE attacks, charms to disable, all that jazz going on. These bosses really did look amazing although compared to games nowadays this of course means nothing. But hey, people like to discover and rediscover and reminisce. We will be doing a lot of this and not lose this flare that has brought me here.

Medusa was the first boss in the game, haha.

You play a little girl named Senia who is looking for her older sister Magaleta who seems to have gone missing in The Tower of Eternity. The game starts off with Senia entering said dungeon and a small dialogue pops up and the adventure begins!

And here comes the end of me.

Good review, never heard of the game but might check it out. 2-4 hours is a pretty quick game, great for a lazy saturday morning or something. I'v been craving some jrpg lately as well. Recently got Battle Chasers: Nightwar although I haven't started it yet.

It's okay, at best. Have funnnnnn.

This game always appear in my recommendation at steam (yeah, I play similar games but avoid RPG Maker once unless I know they're good.) myabe I should try to play "Eternal Senia"

I mentioned the post in my Daily Picks I'd like it if you checked it out.

Oh hey, you should definitely give it a try. Pretty short game and it's an alright game too if you're still into oldschool.

Also, I have a Gaming community called @peopleofthenight. Check it out and get your ass on the Discord as well!

Putting it in my wishlist now~

People of the night... That's your community? I'm in it but I don't talk much because I only open discord when I have something to do it it.

Ah I see! There's @steemgc Discord as well, that one has way more people, and it's a Steemit Gaming Community Discord.

And yes, People of the Night is my community ehehe
