World of Warcraft Classic will run on Patch 1.12 - "Drums of War".

We at last received some new information about the WoW Classic Server since its announcement!
It's hard to believe but releasing a whole game with classic features and mechanics and adapt them to a whole modern coding architecture is not so easy. So Blizzard Entertaiment took some weeks, and did a lot of research until they could figure a way out to pull off all their plans for World of Warcraft Classic.
The whole team has decided to go with the version 1.12 "Drums of War", which is the last patch before "The Burning Crusade" expansion was released.

“Greetings! Development of World of Warcraft Classic is underway, and we’re very excited to share some of the challenges and solutions we’re working on. As we mentioned last BlizzCon, the process of restoring the classic game is not straightforward, and it’s important to us to take the time and effort to get it right—this includes poring over numerous game versions, data, and code; meticulously scrutinizing all the changes we’ve made over the years. Rest assured: The WoW Classic team is hard at work making it a reality, and we’re at a point in development where we’re ready to share some of the things we’ve been working on.”
“So we asked ourselves, would it still be possible to deliver an authentic classic experience if we took our modern code, with all its back-end improvements and changes, and used it to process the Patch 1.12 game data? While that might seem counterintuitive, this would inherently include classic systems like skill ranks, old quests and terrain, talents, and so on, while later features like Transmog and Achievements would effectively not exist because they were entirely absent from the data. After weeks of R&D, experimentation, and prototyping, we were confident we could deliver the classic WoW content and gameplay without sacrificing the literally millions of hours put in to back-end development over the past 13 years.”
The update goes on and on with more technical details about the game, inclusding compatibility with modern hardware and software and how the coding structure and development has changed over the years. You can read the whole update HERE.
Go down into memory lane with the Drum of War trailer:
Defiance 2050 will be officially launching on July 10th for the PS4, XBOX ONE and PC.
Source
Trion world has announced that the remake of its MMORPG "Defiance" will be launching on July 10th for the PS4, XBOX ONE and PC. The game is now titled "Defiance 2050" and although its core gameplay mechanics are practically the same from the original, it will offer slight improvements of graphics and performance, as well as more streamlined game mechanics.
Defiance 2050 will launch as a Closed beta. The Open Beta is scheduled on June 22th until June 25th.
Not everyone is happy about this remake though. Players will not be able to transfer their characters towards the new version of the game, and starting from scratch can be frustrating. On top of that, it seems like they suffer from the same problem as "Secret World: Legends" did. By remaking some mechanics and turning them more "Streamlined" some players feel like they "dumbed down" the customization a bit too much.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:
It should be received instead of recieved.I would sure love to try out the new Quake! They've always been able to deliver awesome game engines and I believer that this will not be an exception.
I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (just made one about 1998) and you can see how id were on the pot of their game before Y2K hit, I really hope to see an awesome title.
Well, make sure you grab it before June 25th so you can keep it forever. This is no exception, that's for sure!
