TF2 Weapon of the Week: The Sun-on-a-Stick

in #gaming6 years ago

On Weapon of the Week I usually Talk about some Good or Underrated Weapons. but Rarely some bad weapons, I think the only Objectivly "Bad" weapon I talked about was the Volcano Fragment. But today, I'm talking about the Volcano Fragment's Sister Weapon, the Sun on a Stick

The Sun on a Stick is a Melee Weapon for the Scout. Yes the Scout. Not Pyro, the Scout.

It Crits Against Burning Players, and It gives Scout a fire Resistance while it's Deployed. At the Cost of 25% less Damage.

Basically they Intend for Scouts to Work together with a Fellow Pyro to Deal Massive Damage.

Problem Though. Because Scout cannot Inflict Afterburn he cannot use this weapon effectively without a Pyro on your team. Because of this the Sun-on-a-Stick is Useless in 6v6 Because really, who plays Pyro in 6v6.

If you can Pull this off with a fellow Pyro it is Super Satisfying and Hilarious.

Also for some reason this Weapon can Random Crit, So Most of the Time your kills with this are going to be Random Crits.

This weapon does not have any Synergy with any of Scout's other Weapons so no need to talk about Weapons to pair this with.

What do I think about it?

The Weapon Sucks, But its also the best weapon in the game at the same time. As it's super Satisfying and Funny to get kills with this. but it's so bad in Situations where there is no Allied Pyro, Which happens more then you think.

Trying to Coordinate with a Pyro for this is almost impossible.

I guess it's kinda useful in MvM, but even there the Fan-o-war is better for team play since it boosts your team's Damage output.

So that's the Sun-on-a-Stick, an...interesting Alternative to Scout's melee Weapons, Really you are better off using Something else for scout.

And that's all I have to say about that.
