Watch: First Look at Borderlands 3 Gameplay
The highly-anticipated first gameplay footage of Borderlands 3 is now available to the general public thanks to a YouTube live stream from earlier today.
The third Borderlands title forgoes the industry push toward battle royale in favor of the franchise's tried and true 4-player online multiplayer and split screen. In contrast to past games, Borderlands 3 includes interstellar travel, allowing the story to take place across multiple planets.
Players choose from one of four different "Vault Hunters," who are charged with stopping the fanatical Calypso Twins from uniting the bandit clans and acquiring the galaxy's ultimate power. To aid in this mission, the game has more than 1 billion guns to choose from and customizable skill trees.

Amara as THE SIREN: A confident, capable brawler with the ability to summon ethereal fists, Amara uses her Siren powers to smash her enemies.
FL4K as the BEASTMASTER: FL4K lives for the hunt. So do the loyal beasts that follow their master’s every command. Their preferred prey? Unsuspecting bandits, those poor suckers.
Zane as the OPERATIVE: Specializing in battlefield gadgetry, Zane is extremely proficient at slipping into combat, creating chaos, and sneaking back out as if he were never there.
