Gee, I have a lot of issues uploading and playing back 1080p. Not because of bandwidth mind you. I'm using HandBrake to tweak my compression and format. Let me know how it goes. The scary games I play are always dark and higher quality makes them MUCH more watchable.
Your videos look awesome tho. I think dtube can't really handle 4k atm so 1080p will be the best route to go. BTW I have left a comment somewhere on your videos so let me know if you wanna get in contact. Thanks.
I think it's more a matter of post production. Even the little video of me down in the corner is in HD. Then, I parse it down from there into 720p with some tweaking.
